We demonstrate that social impact can coincide with commercial success and are driven by a passion to create narratives that both entertain and transform, rooted in genuine, authentic experiences.
Currently, The World We Want Studios is executive producing and financing “In The Shadows”, the incredible true story of trailblazing British professional boxer, model, UNICEF Ambassador, and refugee Ramla Ali starring Jasmine Jobson (Netflix’s Top Boy) and Finn Cole (Last Breath, Peaky Blinders, Fast & Furious 9), and produced by a BAFTA award-winning and Oscar-nominated team. Our film and television projects also include a scripted film and series that delve into the life of a former, bona fide member of the New York mafia, focusing on powerful themes of redemption and transformation. This narrative explores the profound impact of personal redemption and its capacity to inspire societal change. By telling this story, the aim is to shed light on the possibility of turning one’s life around, and the broader implications of such transformations for community healing and positive social development.
Additionally, we are developing a scripted series that intertwines the thrill of Avengers: Endgame with the heartfelt charm of Friends set against the backdrop of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This intersectional narrative follows a diverse group of ordinary heroes with extraordinary dreams, whose deeply personal stories of love, friendship, and sacrifice ignite a global movement to save the planet. Also, a scripted feature film is in the works, chronicling the inspiring life of a revered Indian social entrepreneur whose groundbreaking work has transformed countless lives.
The World We Want Studio has also spearheaded international publicity and marketing for over 250 film and television productions, driving viewership and box office success through our cutting-edge campaigns. As strategic partners, we have produced over 50 short films and PSAs for the United Nations and governments of the USA, UAE, and India, as well as philanthropic organizations such as the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, blending celebrity pop culture with powerful messaging that resonates worldwide.
As Impact Producers, the studio crafts thought-provoking campaigns that challenge the status quo and drive both culture and policy. As Impact Storytellers, we amplify the social impact of major productions with media strategies, involving celebrity partnerships and targeted communications. Some of the projects the Studio has supported in this capacity include the original crime thriller Poacher on Amazon Prime Video, based on India’s largest ivory poaching case and the world’s first feature film on menstruation, Pad Man, which led to a change of policy laws in India removing taxes on menstrual hygiene products.
A sister company to The World We Want, a global impact consultancy aligned with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), our organisation pioneers disruptive strategies at the intersection of storytelling and global development, collaborating with governments, the UN, philanthropists, businesses and celebrities to transform awareness and create action. Highlighting our leadership in global initiatives and commitment to substantial global impact, Co-founder Natasha Mudhar was also instrumental in launching the SDGs as India Director.
